Sophie Marceau is one of the most beautiful actresses ever to come out of France and hugely famous in her own country, yet while they might recognise her from films like Braveheart or as the Bond girl from The World Is Not Enough, many Hollywood movie-goers would probably have a job putting a name to her stunning face. Born Sophie Maupu, the daughter of a Paris truck driver on 17 November 1966, she became a huge star in France at the age of just 14, after hearing director Claude Pinoteau was looking for a new face to take the lead in the teen movie La Boum and mesmerising him at an audition to win the role. She won a César (the French equivalent of an Oscar) for the sequel and has gone on to win critical acclaim in countless movies since. She has written a semi-autobiographical novel Telling Lies, and won awards for her first movie as director, Parlez-moi D'amour. Fortunately, for fans free-minded Sophie has never been scared of showing off her stunning 36C-23-35 figure in all its naked glory ... and quite some glory it is!
